Pot Hanging Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl

The Pot Hanging Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl connects to both the chimney pot and stainless steel twin wall flexible flue chimney liner.

Negates the need for a Clamp Plate and separate Chimney Cowl to be used during installation of twin wall flexible flue chimney liner.

Results in a better, stronger and cheaper stove or insert installation with less rain water entering the flue and subsequently the stove.

Will stop birds nesting in your chimney  – it has a robust cage type stainless steel mesh housing that will prevent this.

Protects your chimney against rain and moisture penetration.

Does not impede the performance of the chimney.

What the Pot Hanging 5” Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl will not do:

This chimney cowl will not prevent a downdraught in your chimney – the H Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 

It will not create an up-draught or increase the performance of the chimney.

Will not completely prevent severe driving or horizontal moving rain often experienced on the coast or in elevated positions – the Static Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl is best at stopping driving rain.

What comes in the pack:

1 x Pot Hanging Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl.

2 x quick release worm drive straps.

Fitting:

It is very easy to fit – only a screw driver is required

Will connect to a flexible chimney liner and most chimney pots with an internal diameter up to and including 12” or 300mm. Leg length is 175mm meaning it can be fitted to decorative chimney pots with a variety of lips, ridges or bulges

The spigot end slides inside the flexible chimney liner and is held in place with the shorter quick release worm drive strap which must be threaded through the 3 loops at the end of the legs that are welded to the spigot.

The flexible flue chimney liner is pulled down the chimney so that the Pot Hanging Cowl is sitting centred on top of the chimney pot and is held in place with the longer quick release worm drive strap which must be threaded through the 3 loops at the end of the legs which are welded to the body of the chimney cowl.

Once fitted correctly the Pot Hanging cowl cannot be disturbed by high winds.
